Design for Inclusive Digital Futures

30-01-2022

The research project DCODE offers lectures, seminars, and workshops during several Summer and Winter Schools. Innovative training formats foster exchange and integration of results, approaches, and experiences among universities, industry, government, and civil society—and our prototeams' reflexive practice. From January 24. to 28. 2022 the theme of the Winter School was 'Design for Inclusive Digital Futures'.

How will we design for human machine relations?

This second Winter School offered advanced training modules in design methodologies and social science theory for the anthropological analysis of machine behaviour and the principled design of human-machine relations. The training integrated approaches from design anthropology, artificial intelligence/data engineering, and speculative design to shape inclusive and sustainable digital futures.
