European Health Psychology Society invites Digital Life for their annual Congress

09-09-2019

Sumit Mehra, one of our Digital Life researchers, attended the 33rd annual international EHPS conference in Dubrovnik (Croatia) at the beginning of September. From September 3 to 7, 2019, the city was dominated by Health Psychology. Both individuals and professionals were approached with the aim of coming together for cooperation towards health in relation to behavior. With 8 parallel tracks, around 500 presentations and 500 posters, the conference was of a large size!

Sumit Mehra was specifically invited for the subtrack 'Health Psychology, Aging and eHealth'. The focus was on health and disease with a focus on older people in old age and/or aging processes (disability) as well as research into healthy aging.

Key questions in Sumit's contribution were:
How can you motivate the elderly to exercise more?
In which ways can digital tools support this?

In view of the aging trend, this research is of great current value to increase vitality and independence among the elderly with the aim of improving the quality of life.
